Raise on a first raise.
Raise after an opponent's 3bet.
Initials of expected value (mathematical expectation). This is what your action (bet, raise, or fold) will earn or cost you in the long term. EV = [probability of winning] x [gains] - [probability of losing] x [losses]. Example: With King of hearts and King of diamonds against Ace of clubs and Ace of spades all-in preflop, if the pot is 150 $ and you and your opponent had 75 $ at the beginning of the hand, your EV is 18/100*75 $ - 82/100*75 $ = -48 $: going all-in preflop with a pair of kings against a pair of aces is therefore not profitable (who said incredible?), because your EV is negative.
Initials of Heads Up Display. This is a display that overlays your game screen.
